Topsy Tail Messy Bun

I really liked my hair two Sundays ago and I'm finally getting around to posting the pictures of it.

I'm calling it the "Topsy Tail-Messy Bun"

Super easy, soft, and fun looking.

All you do is backcomb the front of your bangs or top section of your hair and also the sides above your ears to give your hair some lift.
Section the bang area into a ski-jump and pin with bobby pin. (I do this because my bangs are shorter and it also sections the hair more to give it more separation.)
The next step is to section another part of your hair off and put an elastic around it in the middle of your head, like a half ponytail.
Section the hair down the middle above the elastic and do your Topsy tail. Loosen the hair so it's not so tight to your head and it will cover your elastic.
Once you have it how you like it.....you come to the last section.
-The Messy Bun-
This is all up to you how you like doing your messy buns and how much hair you have.
I don't have a ton, so it makes it kinda nice, but its possible with lots of long hair.
Just put your hair in an elastic like a normal ponytail once again....but before you finish the last couple wraps of the elastic you wont bring all your hair completely through...you start making loops and a mess with your hair if that makes any sense.
After that you can use a couple Bobbi pins to secure and cover hair around elastics.
Last thing....
I use a bit of hairspray to fix fly aways
I also use a shine spray to finish it off.
Anyway, just do what you want and like....this is just what I did and like how it turned out. It stayed in all day long really well. I got a lot of compliments on it too.

Sock Bun Tutorial

Have you all wondered how some girls always have huge awesome looking buns lately????

It isn't because they have a lush amount of hair on their head or anything...it's because they cut a sock, rolled it up into a doughnut shape and use it as a prop in their hair to make the illusion look like they have a large lush bun!!!

Crazy huh? Well, I think it is the greatest and very cheap invention as of late.

I've tried it on myself and LOVED it. I forgot to take a picture when I did it the first time and then I got a haircut, so my hair is too short to hurry and post one,

But here is a video to show you how it's done!

This girl makes me laugh. I love when she has to run out to grab an elastic....haha
Enjoy.

So EASY So FUN So STYLISH

Rodney Yee

If you are like me and have a new years resolution to get back into better health and shape, I know someone that can help us with that!
Let me introduce you to Rodney Yee....
This is him.
He is an amazing yoga instructor and very inspirational.

I first learned of Rodney when I took my first yoga class in college! I really enjoyed that class and knew I would love to continue doing yoga at home or at the gym in the future!

I have his Power Yoga Total Body Deluxe DVD edition
I have really enjoyed using this dvd at home in my living room when I need to get a good stretch after running or just to relief some stress before I go to bed! It really helps you to connect with your body and mind.

I just did this 1 hr work out video for the first time in a couple months and I do have to say it's probably not a good starter workout. haha I did get through it though! I should have started with something a bit shorter.

Anyway, I know that yoga is something that can change your life! It is so good for your mind, body and spirit. If you haven't tried yoga before, definitely give it a try sometime.

This is a video that I really liked..... Enjoy.

Spinach Egg Casserole!

Here is one of my favorite healthy breakfasts!
-Spinach Egg Casserole-
There are so many things you can do with it.
I choose to make it pretty simple and just do Spinach, Green chilies and Eggs with some American Cheese.

Ingredients:

8-10 Large Eggs (for a large casserole dish)
Handful or two of baby Spinach
1 Can of Green chilies
1 C of American Cheese
1/2 C Milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, bake for 30 minutes.

Extras:
I love to add a blob of sour cream and salsa! Its delicious.
I've also done every veggie you can imagine in there!
-Mushrooms
-Green peppers
-Onion
-Jalapenos
-Shredded potatoes
-Tomatoes
Also, Ham or Sausage is great in it too!  It's fun to be creative!
To finish the meal, I added some fresh fruit and Orange Juice.

I hope you give it a try...This is so simple, I love getting everything all prepared the night before and pop it in the oven after I shower and finish doing my make up and hair. Saves me a lot of time!
